The entire collection revolves around the name of trees: oak, willow, walnut, almond are just some of the elements that represent each line, that help Campomaggi describe the character of his bags and the choices that led to their creation. The warm season brings along new volumes like the bucket or the bowling bag, with a strong focus on details, leathers, fabrics and colors. The threading, simple or cross, runs along the profile of the bag, zips become a decoration, aged brass buckles are protagonists with their relief craft obtained through the use of a hot press. Drawings by hand embellish the bag with studs, the laser work lets us glimpse inside the bags. Handles are lighter, they are the focal point in the raw cut shopping bags and are sometimes fixed through small studs. The designer Marco Campomaggi continues his exploration with the alligator leather, that is wisely mixed with cowhide leather: two totally different materials that are treated equally, giving value and prominence to each other in bags with a smooth, functional and valuable design. Leather and canvas are complementary. The latter lives in the piece-dye or in the oriental all-over prints, but also in the purest color: white. Pearl gray is the new color in the SS16 collection, perfectly balanced with the Campomaggi aesthetic universe, made of piece-dyed natural leather, prints and bright colors. The collection embraces different tastes and styles, from unisex "rough" models to those created for men, to the softer shapes dedicated to women, like small buckets and simple clutches decorated by studs. The Campomaggi SS16 collection includes an important debut for the designer: a collection of shoes entirely dedicate to women. The nine styles include flat sandals with leather band, flip flops, clogs with canvas band and high squared wooden heels, decorated with strass, flower studs or pyramid studs. Different forms, different shades all strictly made in Italy for a unique language: Campomaggi.
